Jason York
Jason York, from Roseland, NJ has been bass fishing all over the country since joining the Navy in 1994. He is a self-taught fisherman who has stretched a line from Japan to the East Coast. He resides in Jacksonville, FL where he fishes USA Bassin and the plethora of weekly tournaments in the great state of Florida when not deployed. His true pleasures are taking friends, acquaintances, and his children placing them on fish throughout the state.
Jason is very passionate about the sport and has reduced his hobbies down to bass fishing. A main focus of his is helping educate the youth of today on the many benefits of outdoor activities and the life skills learned from fishing.
His favorite techniques and baits are swimming and pitching Flatlands jigs and senko rigs throughout the many lakes of Florida. With the plethora of heavy cover in the South, Flatland jigs are the best at coming through the dense vegetation. When a standard senko is not working, he adds a Flatlands senko rig to entice the fish.
Jason is married to his wonderful wife Ginny of 20 years, with three amazing sons: Shane, Evan, and Alex. His goal when he finally retires from the Navy is to guide on the Florida waterways and expand his tournament fishing.
